AgriVisual bringing TV to the rural areas of Tanzania through their onboard satellite dish and decoder package.

AgriVisual are pleased to announce the completion of a consignment of vehicles for the Avian Influenza Project in Nigeria. The final consignment was dispatched for shipment on 31st March 2008. These will be packed for shipment to Lagos and onward by road to Abuja.

AV DRUM 21 marine mobiles are designed for the use in Riverine and Delta regions of Africa. They have been specially developed to take DVD based digital programmes to the people who live on the banks of the rivers, thus bringing them into the Digital Information Age.

These are the final three of an order of eleven AV DRUM 21 units ready for dispatch for TACAIDS, Tanzania.

COSCHARIS take delivery of 8 Landrovers converted to AV DRUM 21 units for Nigeria.

The Tanzanian Commission for HIV/AIDS has ordered 11 x AV DRUM 21 units in their campaign for more information to flow freely to the people in the battle against HIV and AIDS. The TACAID behaviour change campaign will receive the delivery early in the new year.

The AV ANNOUNCER has recently been upgraded to supply more units to the Ministry of Information. The improved model includes visual upgrade with flat screen TV, camcorder and better quality sound with the 200 watt amplifier, separate mixer and all weather cabinet speakers. This provides greater versatility in the fight against the Poverty of Information.

AgriVisual have received an order for 24 AV DRUM 21 mobile units. The client wanted Toyota Landcruiser chassis with petrol engines which have taken some time to locate. Manufacturing is now underway. The Toyota FZJ76 model has a 4.5 litre petrol engine, 4 doors for easy access and seating for the driver plus 5 passengers.

As part of the Civic Education Programme in Ghana, AgriVisual have supplied AV DRUM 21 mobile units based on Nissan Patrol chassis. These units made an impressive demonstration of their capabilities in Accra.

The newly appointed Lady Minister of Information, Hon. (Mrs) Oboshie Sai Cofie with the recently appointed Minister of the Interior, Hon. Mr Kwamena Bartels, who was also the previous Minister of Information.

The Ministry of Livestock, Tanzania now holds the record for continual use of the AV DRUM 21 mobile unit. Since 1994 their information team of Bernard Kaali and Lazaro Sabuni have worked for the Farmers Educational and Publicity Unit (FEPU), and delivered messages over 666,000 kilometres using their Unit. No breakdowns, no major repairs and no audio visual equipment failures in over 13 years, and there are many good years ahead.

AgriVisual is supplying The Independent National Election Commission of Nigeria with the latest AV DRUM 21 mobile units. These will be used throughout Nigeria to inform the electorate about the forthcoming election by providing civic education programmes.

The Zambian News and Information Services (ZANIS) has contracted AgriVisual to supply more AV ANNOUNCERS. This product proved itself in the recently held election. ZANIS will be deploying the enlarged fleet of vehicles to reduce the Poverty of Information in rural areas throughout the country.

The work of AgriVisual being done in Africa was featured in a magazine article published by Land Rover Monthly. It was called “Stars of the Screen”. The four page article described how the AV DRUM 21 mobiles are bringing digital communications to rural communities in Africa. It is available from AgriVisual on request.
