Brigadier General Olukolade visited AgriVisual Headquarters, to discuss Behaviour Change Communication for the Nigerian Army with AgriVisual Chairman, Mr M J Slater. The Brigadier General also inspected some AV DRUM 21 units which were bound for Nigeria.
Vehicle Construction in Zambia for NAIS

The AgriVisual Team recently worked at CFAO Zambia, to build a fleet of 10 AV ANNOUNCERS for the National Agriculture Information Service (NAIS). The assembly of the vehicles was completed with the help of Edith Kaluba, Mailes Sakala, Gregory Chikanwa, Essau Chilupe and Nicholas Mwambazi. The 10 AV ANNOUNCERS will strengthen information collection and dissemination to the farming community in Zambia.
AV DRUM 21 Operator Training in Nigeria

Mark Jeffery, our Senior Consultant recently visited Abuja, Nigeria to undertake an intensive training programme for 50 operators of AV DRUM 21 units, for the Avian Influenza Project. It is reassuring to note that Nigeria is vigilant, in monitoring the health of birds on their North South flights.
AV DRUM 21 units depart for the Cotton Board, Tanzania

The latest innovation for the AV DRUM 21 is the inclusion of the roof mounted box for the screen frame and the tripods. These vehicles are going to the Cotton Board in Tanzania, together with a consignment of Toyota Land Cruisers.
AV CHANNEL 21 LAUNCH

The first showing of the AV CHANNEL 21 Pilot took place at Kampekete Basic School in Chongwe District, Zambia. The Zambian News and Information Service provided the service using AV DRUM 21 and attracted an enthusiastic audience of over 500 people from the surrounding villages.

The Minister of Information and Broadcasting, the Hon.Leut.Gen. Ronnie Shipapwasha, officially launched the AV CHANNEL 21 video magazine to mark the occasion of AgriVisuals recent visit to Lusaka, Zambia. The event was broadcast by the Zambia Broadcasting Corporation and the AV CHANNEL 21 pilot is being used by rural communities.

The video magazine AV CHANNEL 21 was introduced to East Africa through a series of ministerial meetings in Malawi. The representatives from many of the Ministries, including Information, Health and Education, resolved to work together to initiate locally produced messages, for the AV CHANNEL 21 launch in each participating country.

The first completed AV DRUM 21 units mounted on the Ford Everest, roll off the production line for the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MOFA) in Ghana. The Ford Everest provides an opportunity for a less expensive 4 wheel drive unit suitable for our African customers.

The Ford Everest provides accommodation for 5 passengers and a full complement of Audio Visual equipment for the AV DRUM 21 , which is housed in the rear compartment and on the roof. AgriVisual are producing 20 units for the Ministry of Food and Agriculture in Ghana.
11 x AV DRUM 21 units depart for TACAIDS, Tanzania

AgriVisual are pleased to announce the despatch of an additional 11 AV DRUM 21 units built on the Nissan Patrol Chassis, for the Tanzania AIDS Commission, which is referred to as TACAIDS. These units will be one of the first fleet to carry AV CHANNEL 21.

AV CHANNEL 21 is the latest initiative aimed at increasing the impact of vital communications. Essentially a video magazine combining news, information, entertainment and sport, it is intended to engage the audience to a greater degree and facilitate the adoption of messages. The move by AgriVisual to launch AV CHANNEL 21 is part of a wider campaign to reduce the Poverty of Information that pervades economic, social and political life in Africa. AV CHANNEL 21 will play a particular role in the HIV/AIDS, TB, Malaria and other disease control programmes. Many content providers are showing interest in AV CHANNEL 21.

AgriVisual have recently held negotiations with TACAIDS for an additional fleet of AV DRUM 21 units to be delivered before the end of the year.
ZAMBIA: A day in the life of a Mobile Cinema Unit crew
AgriVisual have launched a competition in Zambia for the 60 operators of the AV DRUM 21 mobile communication units. A prize will be awarded to the crew who produce the most informative programme showing their work in the frontline of behaviour change communication.

AgriVisual have recently won an order from NAC, Malawi to supply AV DRUM 21 Landrover based units, to support the behaviour change campaign in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
