Empowerment of the People

In Africa there is a Poverty of Information that exists at all levels of society which impacts on the functionality of government and the lives of every man, woman and child.

Government officials, the private sector and the individual all suffer from the Poverty of Information, an endemic lack of easily available information for planning, implementation and reporting purposes.  Often the information exists somewhere but cannot be traced and is not communicated to those who need to know.

AgriVisual is committed to reduce this Poverty of Information and bring Information to the stakeholders and provide them with the means to make good decisions and choices at Government, Corporate and Individual level.

The Digital Age sweeping the world provides a golden opportunity to reformat existing information in text, film, video, photography, charts, TV and radio programmes etc into digital form.  This digitised data can be supplemented with newly recorded and external material from the Internet to provide new invigorated media materials on every subject under the sun including health, education, agriculture, the environment etc. etc.

It is now possible to provide low cost relevant information to people throughout society, empowering them to help themselves, to make the right choices and decisions that can fundamentally improve their lives.

There is a chronic poverty of information in Africa which severely handicaps development at every level. Reducing the Poverty of Information will have a huge impact on health, wealth and happiness.

AV DRUM 21 and our other products and services enable participatory sharing of information in the cities, towns and remote villages.

AV CHANNEL 21 is a bi-monthly DVD of messages on Health, Education, Agriculture Development (HEAD), sports, news and entertainment.

Our aim is to alleviate this form of poverty by enabling a better information flow between individuals, managers, government officials and the private sector to help their decision making and improve their livelihoods.
